Samantha Stephens

Samantha Stephens is a visual storyteller using photography and film paired with compelling written narratives to communicate scientific research- especially when that research is relevant to conservation issues. Through her work she hopes to foster appreciation for the natural world and the people who work to understand and protect it. Samantha is trained as a biologist and is a graduate of the Environmental Visual Communication program offered by the Royal Ontario Museum and Fleming College. She is a National Geographic Explorer and photographer-in-residence at the Algonquin Wildlife Research Station. When she’s not following scientists with her camera, Samantha is based in Ottawa, Ontario.
