Samantha Stephens

Blog Writer. Samantha Stephens is a biologist turned photographer and writer. She uses visual storytelling combined with compelling written narratives to communicate scientific research, especially when that research is relevant to conservation issues. Through her storytelling, she hopes to foster an appreciation for the natural world and the work that helps us understand and protect our shared home. In addition to her own work, she is passionate about helping other young women pursue careers in photography. Samantha is a graduate of Fleming College’s Environmental Visual Communication program, a National Geographic Explorer, and an Emerging League member of the International League of Conservation Photographers. She first joined Girls Who Click as an Ambassador in 2019. When she’d not following scientists around with her camera, Samantha is based in Ottawa, Canada.
