Tshepo Phokoje is a nature & wildlife photographer from Botswana. She is the Director of Vixen Excursions (Pty) Ltd and the photographer under the Vixen Photography brand, whose works include nature and wildlife photography, minimalist photography and landscape photography. To expand her work, she intends to also capture moments shared by the people she meets on her excursions.
The main aim of her work is to tell Botswana and Africa’s diverse stories and hopefully use her work to inspire more local and international tourists to travel to Africa. She also intends to mentor girls who aspire to become photographers, conservationists and storytellers.
She is a solo-exhibitionist and is currently the Botswana Travel & Tourism Awards Best Photographer promoting Tourism. Her latest achievement is being a 2nd Runner-up: 2022 Africa Tourism Leadership Awards- Outstanding Africa Marketing Media Award. Two of her photos were exhibited at the 2022 Nature Through Her Eyes Festival at the Alliance Française du Cap Gallery in Cape Town. She aspires to broaden her work to include nature and wildlife documentaries/films.
