Sima Safavi-Bayat

Chief Operating Officer. Sima Safavi-Bayat prides herself in cultivating a multi-faceted life. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, and currently based in New York City, Sima has almost a decade of experience in the non-profit world and community-driven projects. From fund development, program development, growing and maintaining partner relationships, and mentorship, she has a huge understanding of the value of mission-driven work. Sima is an avid skateboarders, snowboarder, and art/events curator – having experience putting together multiple philanthropy driven multimedia-art and photo shows. She received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from Portland State University, mostly focusing Snow Hydrology, Land and Forest Ecology and social-economical aspects of Wildfire Management. Sima interned a couple seasons with Dr. Kelly Gleason, both in the field and the lab, performing intense field-work for a NASA funded project, which helped her understand the importance of both women having opportunities in the nature industry/world and both having mentorship to get out there. With all this bundled experience, Sima is happy to join Girls Who Click in 2022 and hoping to help the organization grow, help the community feel supported and be part of an amazing team of both other women and allies alike.
