Queen Manyike (She/Her), 26 years of age, comes from a small village called Tintswalo in Acornhoek, South Africa. She currently works at Kapama Private Game Reserve as a field guide. In 2016 she met Mike Kendrick, her photography mentor, who got her to first hold and use a Canon camera, and realized her passion was photography.
Photography is important to Queen because it simply holds memories forever. She finds a single photograph conveys a meaningful message better than when spoken. Her favorite things to photograph are animals, hence she’s involved in conservation full time. Her photography and conservation are intended to make people see the beauty of nature so we look after it for the future generations.
Queen’s 1 year old daughter Erica Enelo Nyakane is her first born. Erica is the person who gives Queen a reason to live, and one day she would like her daughter to follow into her footsteps and be involved in conservation and wildlife photography, but Queen will fully support anything Erica chooses to embark on…
