Rathika is arguably one of India’s foremost wildlife photographers. She is passionate about birds and is specializing in bird photography. In documenting birds through her photographs, she has developed a style of technical excellence combined with a captivating story. She loves to shoot Indian forest, as she believes India has one of the best Fauna & Flora. She has travelled to most of the National parks in India and national parks in Africa to document indigenous species and wildlife.
Her work has been appreciated and featured in several national and international publications as well as exhibitions. She is member of (NPS ) Nikon’s Professional Services. She regularly conducts wildlife photography workshops and holds talks all over India. She has received many accolades and awards for contribution to wildlife photography. She has served on the jury panel of many national and international photography awards and contests, including the National Awards for photography instituted by the Government of India. Year 2017 and 2018. Rathika was cited to be the best known woman photographer across the world on the internet.
Rathika has been mentioned in the 10th Standard Science text book this year 2019 edition of Tamil Nadu Government state syllabus. For her, wildlife photography is not only a passion, but is also a powerful medium to connect and conserve nature.
