Diana is a graphic communication designer and photographer. Since childhood, she has been attracted to nature and has a special interest in the behavior, biology and interactions of species.
She was born and raised in Mexico City. After completing her degree, she moved to the Los Tuxtlas Biosphere Reserve. Since then, she has collaborated with civil society organizations in projects of environmental awareness, conservation, restoration and sustainable use of nature. In this region, she has documented the incredible work of restoring the cloud forest and the species that return to their habitat in the private reserve La Otra Opcion. She had the opportunity to document the reintroduction of the first group of scarlet macaws to Los Tuxtlas and their adaptation to wildlife supported by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Six years ago, she began a beautiful life project about native bees of Mexico.
Diana’s photographs have been published in Ranger Rick magazine and specialized digital magazines in Mexico. She is co-author and coordinator of the book Recovering Lost Biodiversity published in 2014 by La Otra Opcion A.C. Her images are on the covers and some inside pages of the book and catalog of species The stingless bees and their cultivation in Oaxaca, México published in 2019 by College of the Southern Border (ECOSUR) and the National Commission for the Knowledge and Use of Biodiversity (CONABIO).
She is an emerging member of the International League of Conservation Photographers. She currently lives in Veracruz, México.
