Cheryl, a conservation photographer, amateur naturalist and filmmaker living on the edge of the Salish Sea, fell in love with a wild lone wolf. For six years she observed and documented his life, producing an award-winning film, Takaya: Lone Wolf, a book endorsed by Jane Goodall that will be released in September 2020, and two children’s books about Takaya.
Her photos have appeared in The Guardian, Newsweek, GOOD magazine, McLeans, Earth Touch, and other books and journals. Through visual storytelling she strives to inspire passion and action to protect imperiled wild places on earth for future generations.
