Cathy Hart

Cathy’s passion for the outdoors is captured in her images of people, wildlife, and wild places in Alaska and throughout the world. Whether it is a jaguar in Brazil or a Denali wolf, her images capture the life of the moment.  Cathy leads photography trips in Alaska, Africa and Brazil.

Cathy has been living in Alaska since 1966.  Her passion for photography started when she received her first camera for high school graduation from her dad.  In 2005 she helped in the creation of the International League of Conservation Photographers while in Anchorage, Alaska during WILD8.. In 2008 she went to Mexico for WILD9 and met a group of young people sharing their experiences. In 2011, she brought 11 students 15-18 to Spain for WILD9. She loves helping young people learn to tell stories with their images that can make a difference in their lives and others.

She is looking forward to working with a group of young people in Alaska who want to join Girls Who Click…

Cathy has been published in many publications and is a photographer with AlaskaStock Images and serves on the board of Directors with Alaska Society of Outdoor and Nature Photographers. She lives in Anchorage with her husband Eric and her dog Nikki.
