Kristen Cooney is a wildlife photographer, naturalist guide, and conservationist from Pennsylvania, where her adventures in the forests and grasslands of the Mid-Atlantic region sparked her passion for wildlife conservation. There, she earned her bachelor’s in Visual Arts and Environmental Studies from Ursinus College. Bird conservation is at the heart of her work, deeply inspired by her first fieldwork project monitoring grassland birds and raptors. Today, Kristen is a guide and bird conservation tech in Southeast Alaska, and enjoys pursuing projects and birding on road trips in her campervan.
