Irene is a Venezuelan-French wildlife and underwater photographer, and an aspiring filmmaker currently working as a researcher for the BBC Natural History Unit. She is passionate about the natural world, storytelling, and science & conservation communication. She comes from a multicultural family of artists and has a diverse academic background, having studied Political Science and Marine & Natural History Photography. She has experience working with institutions like the Galapagos National Park, the Charles Darwin Foundation and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. Her work has been published in BBC Wildlife Magazine, WIRED UK and Practical Photography Magazine amongst others.
