Alyson Yates (She/Her) is a 21 year old multidisciplinary photographer specializing in conservation, creative portraiture, and science communications. She studied agriculture and animal science at Oregon State University and is now pursuing a graduate education in wildlife conservation and management.
Her photographic work strives to illuminate conservation issues and change the rhetoric around misunderstood wildlife, including her favorite subject— bats. Over the last five years, she has photographed bats on three continents, and hopes to continue working with these unique mammals to improve their social and ecological perception.
