Alyson Yates

Alyson Yates (she/her) is a multidisciplinary photographer and mixed-media artist based in Portland, Oregon. She is a master’s student in the Environmental Science and Management program at Portland State University, where she researches amphibian movement and habitat connectivity in urban ecosystems. She is passionate about applied wildlife conservation and enjoys telling stories that promote underrepresented or misunderstood species, such as bats, through compelling imagery and writing. Alyson also works as a contributing photographer for Oregon State University, covering topics including agriculture, education, and the environment.
