Alexis Wangare (She/Her) has been drawn to the natural world for as long as she can remember. She has always looked forward to spending time in nature, and she started wildlife photography on a trip to the Virunga Mountains. Spending time with the mountain gorillas really did something to her spirit, and she felt inclined to protect them, even if it was just by sharing images to create awareness. Since then she has been on more trips to various national parks, and nothing brings her more joy than spending time out in the wild with these creatures. Alexis hopes that she can continue to share images, better her craft and inspire more people to appreciate the nature that surrounds us. She is based in Kenya.
