Laia is a nature photographer and certified Arctic Nature Guide with a background in Biology and Biotechnology. After several years living in Svalbard, she has shaped a practice built on patient observation and countless hours spent outdoors in every season. Whether traveling by foot, skis, or motorised vehicles, she immerses herself in the Arctic landscape to understand the environments and species she documents.
Her work is guided by strong documentary ambitions, blending scientific understanding with a deep love for exploration. While the Arctic remains her base and greatest educator, Laia is drawn to expeditions far beyond the polar regions, inspired by the extremes of deserts, rainforests, and remote wildernesses around the world. Her goal is to create visual narratives that bridge science and emotion, reconnecting people with nature and inspiring the protection of fragile environments worldwide.
