Gunjan Menon

 

Gunjan Menon is an Indian Producer-Director and the founder of the impact-first production house Beyond Premieres. Her films focus on human-wildlife coexistence and conflict mitigation, featuring some of the earth’s most endangered and lesser-known species. Over the last decade, she has been recognised with over 50 awards & nominations across 40 cities worldwide. Her work has been broadcast on National Geographic, Disney+, PBS, BBC Earth, Discovery, Animal Planet, and Roundglass Sustain, among others. She did a Master’s in Wildlife Filmmaking from UWE Bristol in 2016, where she produced her critically acclaimed student short, ‘The Firefox Guardian’ which was shortlisted for a student BAFTA and later became a part of a three-part series, ‘Wildlives’. This film still travels to renowned film festivals and schools, starting a dialogue on ecofeminism and raising awareness about red panda conservation worldwide. In 2023, she received the UN World Wildlife Day Audience Choice Award at Jackson Wild for her film ‘Wings of Hope’ made in collaboration with Roundglass Sustain. In 2020, she was recognised with the Jackson Wild Rising Star Award for her extended impact in the field and is currently on their Advisory Board. She is a National Geographic Explorer, NEWF Mentor and Fellow, Green Hub Mentor, Girls Who Click mentor and Partner Photographer and a Re:Generation Climate Leader supported by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
