Mona Hederich

Mona (she/her) is a conservation photographer, researcher and science communicator from Germany. With experience in wildlife research across Latin America and Europe, she documents the often unseen realities of fieldwork. Now pursuing a Master’s in International Nature Conservation, she combines ecological insight with evocative imagery to tell honest, impactful stories from the field. Her work highlights threatened species, the people protecting them, and the fragile connections holding ecosystems together. Mona believes photography can bridge science and emotion, inspiring a deeper sense of care and responsibility for the natural world.
